This page is designed to provide interactive support to faculty and students involved in biobehavioral research. Passwords for each workshop can be obtained by email via BBL Requests ( sonbbl@unc.edu). *Workshops are best viewed at 1280 x 1024 screen resolution, using Internet Explorer.

Each "Teaching Module" consists of four parts:

1) General overview (provides background information and definitions of major concepts)

2) Main lesson (explains the topic thoroughly, providing examples)

3) Hands on experience using BBL instrumentation or lab technology

4) Group discussion of results (evaluation of material learned and data analysis)

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (Suntech Medical Instruments, Inc.)

Heart Rate Variability ECG Logger (Biomedical Monitoring, Ltd. Inc.)

Behavioral Coding Observer (Noldus Information Technology bv.)


Once comfortable with the workshop and instrumentation, students and faculty are encouraged to further their new skills in the actual lab setting.
